Kim’s Story
The Long story Short version is that I was broken, hurting, desperate for love and looking in all of the wrong places.
But, God.
In the midst of my pain, God scooped me up and wrapped me in His arms. I remember the moment, it was 2am on July 31, 2015. I was sitting on the side of the road with my car stuck in a row of trees, waiting for someone to help me. I couldn’t believe I just wrecked my car…on purpose. It was a long time of feeling unloved, not good enough, and hopeless, so I was done with this life. Over it. Or, at least that is what I thought. Turned out, God didn’t let me take control over my life that night, and instead He protected me from myself and the fate I so desired.
Since that night, I have learned what a real relationship with Christ looks like. I now fully believe that God loves me unconditionally and sees me as worthy - worthy enough to send his son to die on a cross so that I can be redeemed and have an entire life with him. And friend, he sees you as worthy of the very same thing!
There is so much more to this story, but it would take a lot more space. So stay tuned, as a new podcast episode is coming with all of the details of events that led up to that night in 2015, and what the Lord has done since then!
How did I get here?
“Right then I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping women and the next generation be conformed into the image of Jesus.”
“It all started at a women’s conference when I heard a teaching that brought Scripture to life for the first time. In that moment, the Bible was no longer just a history book of lessons and metaphors. The pages were illuminated and truly felt living and active. Right then I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping women and the next generation be conformed into the image of Jesus. So, I started seminary school a couple months later, and have been teaching the Bible ever since. I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life now! My hope is that God will use me to bring the Scriptures to life for others too, so that the Holy Spirit and ignite and reignite the flames for brothers and sisters across the globe.”
